I finally got to finish this book after such a hectic week! This book was not one of my favorites unfortunately but it was a very good book. I loved Doug as a character because he was so sweet and caring but Zoey was one of my least favorite characters. She was way too caught up with Brandon and I was confused at parts about her being okay with Brandon sleeping with a different girl. Overall, it was a good story but I would have changed the characters just a little bit. I don't know, what does anyone else think?
The idea of trying to recover her memory was a good way to keep the reader interested and wanting to know more about what happened. I know I was definitely reeled in the whole time just wanting to know what happened.
**SPOILER ALERT** ( do not read further if you have not read the book)
What did bother me was that she was such a stubborn character and her friends were mean enough to lie to her about Brandon cheating on her. It did not make sense to me that Zoey's friends got so mad and offended that Zoey kept her mom's issue private yet they kept a huge secret from Zoey and knew she had no idea what happened!!!!!
Zoey was over complicated, I think, and she obsessed over Brandon way too much when Doug was caring for her and being there for her! Sometimes as I read this book I thought to myself "What are you doing Zoey!? Why are you so obsessed with him? Doug is a nice guy, why not go for him!?"
So that's what I thought of the book!
Well, that's all I have to say about that recent read! I am no professional book reviewer that's for sure. But I still enjoy just writing about the books I read.

Advice?
Good morning! I am not sure if anyone or if some people read my blog. But does anyone have some advice on blogging or book blogging/reviewing? I'm not trying to be some hardcore serious book blogger or reviewer, but I am interested in writing every now and then and sharing those ideas with others. Thanks in advance if anyone answers!

Room by Emma Donoghue
Hello all! So I'll be starting off with a nice quote from this book which is "Scared is what you're feeling. Brave is what you're doing".
I definitely recommend people read this book. At first I was skeptical reading this because it's told from the point of view of a child. However, it is amazing. I loved the child's view and trying to understand what this child and his mother have been through in this room. It truly is a captivating story but also quite sad. I did get emotional at a few parts!
The relationship between Jack (the child) and his Ma is such a powerful and close relationship. It makes you appreciate what a parent/parents put themselves through sometimes for the sake of their children or child.
Overall, I really loved this book and would say it is one of my favorites. I actually ran into someone at work who had read it and said she loved it too! I heard a movie might be made? Not too sure about that. But go ahead! Read it if you'd like! Hope you all enjoy it if anyone does read it.
Until next time!

My recent read: Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
So, recently I read this book which I found to be very good actually. It started off a bit slow and I wasn't sure where it was going but things start getting good when you finally start putting the pieces together of what happened between Nick and Dara! I was not very pleased with the characters, especially Dara. Dara was very annoying and like a little kid, while her sister Nick was much more mature and not as annoying as Dara.
My favorite part of the book, I will have to say was Dara's birthday. When everything comes together and I don't want to spoil it so I won't mention what happens. However, it is a very important day for Nick and the book takes a turn I really did not see coming.
Although some people may have a completely different opinion on this book, this is my opinion and I thought it was great. I did finish it rather quickly since it was a mystery that I wanted to figure out. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who enjoys mysteries and just something a little different.
See ya!
WELCOME ALL!
Welcome to my blog dedicated to books! I am quite new to this so it won't be too great for now. I will use this as a sort of journal/review area for the books I have read and will read in the future.
